NWFL Nationwide MD 5 Wrap: Fortress and Gallant Queens bag Championship tickets

The Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Nationwide final day witnessed a dramatic and fascinating ending with Gallant Queens of Kaduna and Fortress Ladies of Benin secured promotion slots to the NWFL Championship.
At the School of Health field, Gallant Queens went into their final day encounter needing a win by at least two-goal margin to snatch the ticket to the Championship.
The Kaduna based Nigerian Army outfit delivered on their mandate as they defeated Heroes Queens 2-0 to clinch a Championship slot for next season thanks to strikes from Daniella Lot and Saleh Blessing.
Earlier at the same venue, It was a disappointing ending for First Mahi Babes as they bowed 1-0 to Papa Soccer Academy to narrow miss the chance to qualify for the Championship.

Gallant Queens of Nigeria Army
Needing just a point to guarantee their qualification, the Imo State outfit had the Championship ticket slipped off their hands after surprisingly loosing 1-0 to Papa Soccer and paving the way for Gallant Queens to seal promotion to the second tier of Nigerian women’s football league.
Before this match, Fortress Ladies had already sealed a Championship spot for next season but they ended up keeping their unbeaten run intact without loosing concentration to Kaduna Queens at the University of Benin pitch.
At the same venue, Chosen Generation went all gun blazing as they crushed Castmog Ladies 4-1.
With pride at stake, Chosen Generation ended their Nationwide with an emphatic finish and overtook Unification FC for the second spot in group B.
