The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has officially opened its Premiership mid-season transfer window from February 25 to March 4, offering clubs a brief but critical opportunity to strengthen their squads ahead of the second round of the 2025/26 campaign.
At the conclusion of the first round on Matchday Nine, Bayelsa Queens F.C. topped Group A, while FC Robo Queens emerged as leaders of Group B after nine rounds of competitive action.
With only the top three teams from each group advancing to the decisive Super Six phase — and the bottom four sides facing relegation at the end of the regular season — the standings remain tightly contested across both groups.
The second round of fixtures will resume on March 11, as title hopefuls aim to consolidate their positions and chasing teams look to maximise the transfer window to boost their chances of reaching the Super Six.
The coming days are expected to witness strategic squad adjustments as clubs fine-tune their rosters for what promises to be a fiercely competitive run-in.
