The first stanza of this season’s Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership season is set to come to an end this Wednesday with Bayelsa Queens and Delta Queens headlining the fixtures across six centers in the country.
It is the top-of-the-table clash in Group A as Cup holders Bayelsa Queens and group leaders Delta Queens lock horns at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
Bayelsa are smarting from 1-1 draw at Naija Ratels and will aim for victory at home to overtake the leaders Delta, who are hoping to protect their unbeaten run.
Basking in the euphoria of the moment, Heartland Queens will aim to make it two wins in a row when they face Osun Babes at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, their first-ever top-flight league meeting.
In Sapele, former champions Rivers Angels travel to Delta State city to battle bottom-of-the-table Royal Queens as both sides failed to get a win in their last outings.
Elsewhere, Nasarawa Amazons will hope to avoid three consecutive defeat when they welcome Abia Angels to Markudi, in their quest to enter top three in group B to stand a chance for Super 6.
While, FC Robo Queens will hope to get their first home win when they go toe-to-toe with Adamawa Queens at the Legacy Pitch in Lagos. The Lagos Landladies have been struggling this season, recording just one win in five matches.
Confluence Queens from Lokoja will seek to make it three wins in row this season against Ibom Angels at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium. The hosts are bottom of the group B table with one win and four losses in their five league games.
