NWFL Premiership: Robo Queens players have to buckle up – Emmanuel Osahon

By Saheed Afolabi
Head coach of FC Robo Queens, Emmanuel Osahon has challenged his players to step up after a disappointing outing in the first stanza of the 2022/23 Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership season.
The Lagos Landladies defeated Adamawa Queens 3-0 at the Legacy Pitch on Wednesday to end their first round of the season in sixth position on Group B table with seven points from six games – five adrift of leaders Edo Queens.
Following the triumph, the former international hailed his players for putting up a ruthless display in Lagos while urging them to do better in the second round to ensure their Super 6 dream.
“It’s a deserved win, it’s long waited and it’s a great win because we deserved to have won for a very long time but I don’t know what happened to the girls and I just thank God that they came back around this time and won,” Osahon told nigeriafootball.ng.
“With God all things are possible, that’s what I will say for now, because winning today is very key and all the matches that we have played before, we deserved to win but something will just go wrong somewhere.
“Right now, I’m not too certain on some things, I’m not talking of going to the Super 6, I’m not certain of some people, some of my girls performance and you know it’s a one man team, if it’s where I have money to go and buy players I will not be saying what I’m saying.
“Some of them are coming up, I don’t really know what happened, this are the same girls I have been using for the past 3 years getting good wins but some of them are coming up because psychologically something might have happened that they don’t want to tell me but they always confide in me, but they are coming up.”
