Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) giants, Rivers Angels, have officially unveiled Tosan Blankson as their new Technical Adviser.
The announcement took place at a ceremony held on Monday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, where Blankson was handed the responsibility of leading the club to another league title.
Rivers Angels last won the NWFL Premiership three years ago, with Delta Queens and Edo Queens claiming the title in the past two seasons.
Blankson, who takes over the reins, has been tasked with restoring the club to its former glory and securing their next league championship.
In preparation for the new season, the club has strengthened its squad with six new signings: Taiwo Afolabi, Fatima Oloko, Anderline Mgbechi, Yusuf Nana, Aweda Titilayo, and Saka Sadiat.
The unveiling ceremony also featured the introduction of Rivers Angels’ new jerseys for the upcoming season.
Rivers Angels will begin their 2024/2025 NWFL campaign with a home match against Ibom Angels at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
The club is looking forward to a successful season under Blankson’s guidance.
