Confluence Queens head coach Whyte Ogbonda has urged his players to go all out for victory when they return to action in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership against Nasarawa Amazons on Wednesday.
Confluence are yet to record a win this season, having picked a draw and two defeats from three matches and the new manager Ogbonda is eager to guide his side to end their winless form against highflying Amazons.
“The match against Nasarawa Amazons is a New beginning for us, we have been working hard, the Christmas break has given us enough space to correct mistakes that we have made,” Whyte told his players.
On her own part, team manager Tosin Ojo also appealed to the players to be more committed, proactive, and put in their best to grab a win against their arch-rivals.
“I must let you know, we are not going there to settle for a draw, after we held Abia Angels to a draw last two weeks,” she said.
The Lokoja-based Queens will slug it out with the Amazons from Nasarawa at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi for their matchday 5 encounter.
