Washington Spirit has announced the loan of Nigerian forward Deborah Abiodun to Dallas Trinity FC, a team competing in the United Soccer League (USL) , through the end of 2025.
The Nigeria international will be joined by Brazilian player Tamara, also on loan from Washington Spirit.
The loan move is part of Washington Spirit’s development plans for both players as they embark on their professional careers in the US.
The experience gained from playing in Dallas is expected to be invaluable for Abiodun and Tamara, helping them grow and improve as players.
Washington Spirit’s decision to loan out Abiodun and Tamara demonstrates the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent and providing growth opportunities.
By sending the players to Dallas Trinity FC, Washington Spirit allows them to gain regular playing time and develop their skills in a competitive environment.
Returning Spirit manager Mark Krikorian, is upbeat about the loan move, stressing that the club looks forward to welcoming Abiodun and Tamara back in the nearest future.
With this loan, Abiodun is expected to make the best of her professional career and shine in the colours of Dallas.
