Nigerian forward, Flourish Sabastine has officially joined French D1 Arkema side, Stade de Reims.

On Monday, NigeriaFootball.ng had exclusively reported her arrival in France for the switch which the club confirmed on Friday.

The 18-year-old youngster joined the French outfit from Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side, Bayelsa Queens. After passing her routine medicals, Sabastine penned down a two-year deal which was brokered by C2E Sports Management, the agency of former Nigeria U20 star Dejo Olateru.

With Bayelsa Queens FC, she won three titles in two years and will complete the Champagne offensive line.

After the signing formalization of Cameroon star Colette Ndzana at the club on Thursday, this time it is an attacker who comes to strengthen the ranks of Reims at the start of the season.

An offensive, fast player with great elimination skills, Sabastine is joining Reims and D1 Arkema with the desire to continue her progress.

“Individually, this choice to come to Reims is part of a logic of development for me, I want to continue to improve in technical, physical, and tactical aspects,” Sabastine told the club website.

“And collectively I want to make my contribution, contribute to the team results,” explained the player upon her arrival.

The Falconets star made a name for herself during the last FIFA U20 World Cup by scoring the only goal of the match in the first match against France.

She will put on jersey number 22 at the club and join her Falconets teammates, Tosin Demehin and Rofiat Imuran who joined Stade de Reims last season.
