Oghenekaro Etebo Expresses Disappointment as Las Palmas Settle for Stalemate Against Athletic Bilbao

Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo, has conveyed his disappointment following Las Palmas’ hard-fought 0-0 draw against Athletic Bilbao in a Friday night showdown in the Spanish LaLiga. Etebo, currently on loan from Portuguese top-flight side Feirense, showcased his prowess in his second consecutive appearance for Las Palmas during the encounter.

This follows Etebo’s debut performance in last Monday’s triumphant 1-0 home win against Malaga, a match that witnessed the participation of Nigerian duo Brown Ideye and Isaac Success, both on loan from Tianjin Teda and Watford, respectively.

In a post-match reflection on Saturday, Etebo took to Twitter to share his sentiments about the challenging fixture, stating, “Tough game last night against a good team. Disappointed not to take all three points but pleased with another clean sheet and point away from home. Our fans were brilliant once again.”

Despite Las Palmas’ commendable defensive efforts securing another clean sheet, the draw leaves them lingering in the relegation zone, currently occupying the 18th position with 18 points in the league table.

Etebo’s commitment to the team’s cause and his acknowledgment of the unwavering support from the fans reflect the dedication that Las Palmas will undoubtedly rely on as they navigate the challenges ahead in their bid to climb the LaLiga standings.
