Ola Aina laments Nottingham Forest loss to Liverpool
By Saheed Afolabi
Nigeria international, Ola Aina has lamented Nottingham Forest 3-0 loss to Liverpool.
The Super Eagles rightback admitted the encounter against the Reds was tough at Anfield but the game didn’t go their way despite sticking to the game plan.
The 27-year-old said the momentum of the game changed immediately Forest conceded the first goal, while tasking his team to buckle up for more challenging matches and hopefully get better results going forward.
“It was a tough game, which we knew we were going to have coming to a place like Anfield against a good Liverpool team,” Aina told Nottingham Forest website.
“We tried to stick to the game plan but unfortunately it didn’t go our way. We wanted to be compact and try and play forward when we get the ball and take care of it.
“After we conceded, they had the momentum and ran away with it really. It’s always going to be difficult when your strikers are out, but nevertheless it’s a team effort and we have to put the work in which I felt we did for the majority of the game.
“Everyone knows how hard the Premier League is, every game is different so it will still be difficult going forward. It’s going to be a challenge and one we’re all looking forward to.
“I feel like the team can build and hopefully we get better results going forward.”
Forest will welcome Aston Villa to the City Ground in their next encounter on November 5.
The Tricky Trees have ten points from ten matches and are ranked 16th position on the Premier League table, five points adrift of the relegation zone.
