By Dayo Awoniyi

Super Eagles striker Olanrewaju Kayode made an impactful return to Sanliurfaspor’s turf, scoring a decisive goal to help Esenler Erokspor secure a 2-0 victory.

Kayode’s goal, which came in the 50th minute, was enough to seal the win for the visiting side, bringing his tally to four goals in just 10 appearances for his new club.

The Nigerian forward has enjoyed a varied career, with stints at several clubs across Europe and Turkey.  His career also include playing for Luzern in Switzerland, Maccabi Netanya in Israel, Austria Vienna in Austria, Girona in Spain, and Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine.

Kayode has also featured for various Turkish clubs, including Umraniyespor, Sivasspor, Gaziantep FK, Genclerbirligi, Sanliurfaspor, and now Esenler Erokspor.

Despite not receiving frequent calls to the national team, Kayode continues to excel at club level and remains a key figure for both his team and country.
