South African club Orlando Pirates has confirmed that Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah is making significant progress in his recovery from a tibia injury, according to Nigeriafootball.ng.
Ndah has been sidelined since September after sustaining the injury while playing for the Buccaneers. His absence has kept him out of several key matches, including the MTN8 final against Stellenbosch FC.
The club’s medical team shared an update on the recovery status of injured players on their official website, revealing that the 24-year-old defender is now nearing a return to full fitness.
“He (Ndah) has been given the green light to start field-based training, which will also involve conditioning as he gets closer to full recovery,” the club stated.
Prior to his injury, Ndah was a regular fixture in Orlando Pirates’ lineup. Since joining the club from Nigerian side Akwa United in 2021, he has made 81 appearances and scored once, establishing himself as a key part of the team’s defense.
