Talented Nigerian striker, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu has secured a career progressing United move to the United States’ National Women’s Soccer League, NWSL, club San Diego Wave.
Okwuchukwu joined San Diego Wave from Nigeria Women’s Premier League, NWFL outfit Rivers Angels.
The 19-year-old forward signed a one-year contract with her new employer.
She will be added to the Wave’s roster pending a medical and receipt of her International Transfer Certificate, ITC, and P1 Visa.
Okwuchukwu caught the eye with Nigeria’s Falconets at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup where she played in all of Falconets’ four matches, scoring two goals and providing one assist.
