Olivier Giroud’s Milestone Goal Propels Arsenal to Victory in the Europa League

Arsenal secured a confident 4-2 away victory against Belarus’ Bate Borisov in Group H of the 2017/2018 Europa League, marking their second consecutive win in the competition. The match, which unfolded with a flurry of goals, showcased the attacking prowess of the London club.
Theo Walcott initiated the scoring for Arsenal just nine minutes into the match, swiftly doubling his tally with a second goal in the 22nd minute. Soon after, Rob Holding further extended the lead with a goal in the 25th minute. Borisov managed to pull a goal back when Mirko Ivanic found the net three minutes after Holding’s strike.
However, it was Olivier Giroud who stole the spotlight with a significant milestone, as he confidently converted from the penalty spot in the 49th minute, marking his 100th goal for Arsenal. Borisov managed to put another goal on the scoreboard, courtesy of Mikhail Gordeychuk in the 67th minute.
This triumph has solidified Arsenal’s position at the top of Group H with six points, while Bate Borisov lags behind in third place with just one point. The North London club’s impressive form in the Europa League will undoubtedly strengthen their campaign in the tournament.

Nwakaeme, who entered the game in the 62nd minute, managed to find the net in the 69th minute, equalizing the score at 1-1. John Ogu also contributed to Hapoel’s effort, playing the full 90 minutes.
Despite the defeat, Hapoel Beer-Sheva retains the second position in Group G with three points, trailing behind leaders FC FCSB of Romania by a margin of three points.
