Oluchi Ohaegbulem upbeat about Nigeria’s WAFU-B U20 Women’s Cup title chance

Ahead of Saturday’s final match in the maiden WAFU-B between Nigeria and Ghana, captain of the Nigeria U20 women’s side, Oluchi Ohaegbulem hopes the team can return to the country with the title.

High-scoring Nigeria will face Ghana in imperious form as the highest-scoring team in the tournament and the Nasarawa Amazons star is recounting her side’s incredible journey to the final, with the belief of ending on a high.

“The journey of the WAFU-B has been great from the beginning till the stage we are now and God has been faithful,” Oluchi exclusively told Nigeriafootball.ng.

“It has been God from the beginning of the group stage to the semi-final and we not conceding goals. It has all been God all through. We give glory to God for that.

“We respect our opponents no matter who they are and the same thing goes to Ghana and we surely respect them.

“We believe by the special grace of God that we would get the trophy. It’s going to be a happy moment and a dream come true for every one of us after winning the final and bringing back the trophy.

“We are really going to be happy. We are trusting God and going to give our all and best in the final match against Ghana.”
