Osimhen scores first Serie A hat-trick as Napoli extend unbeaten run against Sassuolo

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen scored his first hat-trick in Italian football in Napoli’s 4-0 victory over Sassuolo on Saturday in a Serie A game played at the Estadio Diego Armando Maradona.
The former Lille striker opened scoring in the fourth minute from close range after recieving a pass from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The Nigeria international doubled the lead with his second of the encounter in the 19th minute after getting a cut back from Khvicha before putting the ball past the visiting goalkeeper.
Kvaratskhelia got his goal in the 36th minute as reward after providing two assists for Osimhen. Osimhen got his hat-trick in the 77th minute to stretch Napoli’s winning streak to 13.
The win gives Napoli a six-point lead on the table after getting 32 points in 12 games.
Osimhen’s hat-trick makes him the league’s leading scorer and this means he has scored in four consecutive games for Napoli. He has now scored six goals since his return from injury.
