Osimhen threat highlighted by Flick before Barcelona’s Champions League clash with Galatasaray

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has warned his players they will need to produce their best football against Galatasaray, singling out Victor Osimhen as a “fantastic striker”.

The Spanish side face the Turkish champions in their UEFA Champions League Matchday Two fixture at RAMS Park on Tuesday.

Osimhen is expected to return to Galatasaray’s starting line-up after making his comeback from injury in Friday’s 3-1 victory over Kasimpasa. The Nigeria striker had missed the club’s previous three matches before coming on as a substitute in that game.

Flick believes Galatasaray possess the quality to trouble Barcelona and said his side must be fully prepared for the challenge.

“Galatasaray have a fantastic striker like Osimhen. They really have a great squad. We need to be ready for this match. We have to play our best football against Galatasaray,” Flick was quoted as saying by A Haber.

The fixture will see Osimhen face Barcelona after his return to action for the Turkish club, with the forward having previously played for Napoli.

Galatasaray will be aiming to respond to their defeat by Sporting Lisbon on the opening day of the Champions League when they welcome Barcelona to Istanbul.
