Oyo State FA Cup: 3SC to face Ilaji FC in grand finale

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan will face Ilaji FC in the final of the 2023 Oyo State FA Cup.

The Oluyole Warriors thrashed Iseyin Rocks FC 4-0 in the semi-final on Tuesday to book a place in the final.

Sikiru Alimi’s first-half brace in the 13th and 27th minute respectively set the pace for a comfortable win.

Joshua Akpan increased Gbenga Ogunbote’s side lead to three in the 77th minute from the penalty spot.

Opeoluwa Olufemi completed the rout in the additional minutes of the second half.

Meanwhile, Ilaji FC defeated Oyo Alaafin 4-1 to join Shooting Stars in the final.

Salem Adeyemi’s hat trick coupled with Favour Adegbile’s goal lifted Ilaji FC to a comfortable victory as Shittu Taiwo pulled a goal back for Oyo Alaafin. The two finalists will represent Oyo State at the national final.
