Pacesetter Queens unveil squad for maiden NWFL Premiership campaign

Pacesetter Queens of Oyo State have officially unveiled their squad ahead of their first-ever season in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership, signaling their readiness for top-flight competition.

The Ibadan-based club released a roster that blends youth and experience as they aim to establish themselves and retain their Premiership status.

Head coach Hakeem Busari will lead the team, supported by a robust technical crew including Ruth Bolanle, Lateef Lukman, Ajayi Foluso Adewuyi, Raji Olatunji Yekinni, Animashaun Rahmon Olawole, and Damilola Badmus.

Among the experienced players listed are Ugah Helen Oluchi, Akanbi Opeyemi, Balogun Tesleemat, Ola Olaronke, Aoso Gloria, Okeyinka Olayinka, Taiwo Aganmuyi, and Taiwo Olufunke.

They are joined by a strong supporting cast comprising Patience David, Fabowale Zainab, Bisola Adeyemo, Pepple Fidel, Feyishayo Ajayi, Ayishat Raheem, Samantha Victor, Temitope Seidat Adebayo, Anthony Esther Ngozi, Busari Suliyat Damilola, John Rebecca Ihotu, Taiwo Omodun, and Oladeji Ikimat Ajoke.

Pacesetter Queens will compete in Group A of the NWFL Premiership, where they face tough opposition from Adamawa Queens, Ibom Angels, Rivers Angels, Bayelsa Queens, Heartland Queens, Ekiti Queens, Edo Queens, Castmog Ladies, and Naija Ratels FC.

With their squad now confirmed, the Oyo State representatives set their sights on a strong debut season in Nigeria’s elite women’s league.
