Three players joined Nigeria’s senior women’s national team camp on Monday ahead of their crucial Paris 2024 Olympics Qualifiers against African champions, South Africa.

Atletico Madrid forward, Rasheedat Ajibade, and Saud Arabia-based Tochukwu Oluehi were among the early arrivals, joining Jumoke Alani, who had already reported for duty when the camp opened on Sunday.

Home-based goalkeeper, Linda Jiwaku, is expected to join the camp on Monday, further bolstering the squad’s preparations for the upcoming qualifiers.

Additionally, Shukurat Oladipo, Japan-based Chidinma Okeke, and Spain-based forward Gift Monday are also slated to arrive on Monday, adding depth to the squad.

While the remainder of the team is expected to assemble by Tuesday, United States-based African star Asisat Oshoala is anticipated to join the camp later in the week, on Thursday.

The first leg of the qualifiers is set to take place at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on Friday, with the return leg scheduled for the Loftus Versfeld Arena in Pretoria five days later.

With preparations well underway and key players joining the camp, the Nigerian team is gearing up for a challenging yet promising encounter against South Africa as they aim to secure their spot in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
