Paris 2024: South Korean referee to lead officials for Super Falcons vs Brazil clash

South Korean referee, Kim Yujeong will officiate the match between Nigeria and Brazil in the opening Group C encounter of the Paris 2024 Olympics women’s football tournament.
The referee officiated at the last FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
She will be assisted by compatriot Park Misuk who will serve as the first Assistant Referee.
Australia’s Joanna Charaktis has been appointed as the second Assistant Referee.
Serbian Jelena Cvetlovic will officiate as the fourth official with two Video Assistant Referees.
Kate Jacewic from Australia will sit in the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) room.
She will be assisted by Ivan Bebek from Croatia.
For the second time in the women’s football event of the Olympics, the Super Falcons and the Selecao from Brazil will meet in the group stage.
The last meeting ended 3-1 in favour of the Brazilians at Beijing 2008 in China. Perpetual Nkwocha’s opener was subdued by Christiane hat-trick.
