Paul Julius: Nigerian striker dies in auto crash in Cyprus after new deal

Nigerian forward Paul Julius has tragically died in a car accident in Cyprus.

The 20-year-old, who recently joined Enosis Neon Paralimniou from Egyptian side El Gaish, was involved in a head-on collision on the Paralimni-Protaras road.

Enosis Neon Paralimniou confirmed the news of his death on their official website, expressing deep sorrow and condolences.

The club’s statement read: “It is with deep sadness and pain that we express our sincere condolences on the unexpected loss of our footballer Paul Julius.

The tragic news of his death has shocked us all. Despite the hardships and sufferings he faced to join our family, he remained steadfast and determined to fulfill his goals.

“His memory will live on in our minds and his absence will be felt. We are with his family and his loved ones during this difficult time, may he rest in peace.”

Julius’s untimely passing is a significant loss to the club and the football community, and his contributions and spirit will be remembered by those who knew him.
