Picture: Liverpool midfielder’s message to Lautaro and Messi after Ballon d’Or Ceremony

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister despatched an Instagram message to his compatriots, together with Lautaro Martinez and Leo Messi, after the Ballon d’Or ceremony on Monday.

Messi gained the Ballon d’Or for the eighth time in his profession whereas Lautaro was ranked twentieth, above his Inter teammate Nicolò Barella and under Napoli stars Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (seventeenth) and Victor Osimhen (eighth).

Mac Allister, who gained the World Cup with Messi and Lautaro final 12 months, congratulated his compatriots after the Ballon d’Or Ceremony on Monday, together with Julian Alvarez and Dibu Martinez.

Alvarez was ranked seventh, Martinez fifteenth, but in addition obtained The Yashin Trophy for the best-performing goalkeeper in 2023.
