Precious Obasi ecstatic after scoring first NWFL Premiership goal for Abia Angels

Precious Obasi is delighted to get her first goal in the Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership as her side Abia Angels played out a 1-1 draw against Confluence Queens in Lokoja.

Obasi had joined the Aba-based team from Royal Queens FC of Warri during the transfer windown and finally scored her first NWFL Premiership goal against Confluence Queens on Wednesday.

Her shot from 25 yards on the brink of half secured an away point for Abia Angels and the excited midfielder has vowed to never relent in her quest to help her club achieve greatness in the league this season.

”I want to help the team achieve something good this season,” Obasi told media.

“Together with my teammates, we are working hard daily during training sessions with the coaches by the Grace of God we will get it right.”

The Angels are 4th in group B with four points from three games and will resume the league on January 4 at home against Adamawa Queens at the Enyimba FC Stadium Aba.
