Rangers Bolster Squad with Ex-Lobi Stars Winger Oluwasegun Oloruntoba

Eight-time Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Rangers International FC of Enugu, have strengthened their ranks with the signing of former Lobi Stars FC winger, Oluwasegun Oloruntoba, as part of their strategic squad rebuild ahead of the 2025/2026 season.

This key addition underscores the Flying Antelopes’ ambition to mount a serious challenge on all fronts in the upcoming campaign, including the NPFL and the 2026 President Federation Cup.

Oloruntoba, a left-footed, pacey winger standing at 5’8″, finalized his move to the Enugu-based giants following successful negotiations. The 24-year-old was instrumental in Lobi Stars’ fight for top-flight survival last season, earning praise for his work rate, creativity, and flair on the flanks.

The signing ceremony, held at the club’s corporate headquarters in Enugu, saw a visibly elated Oloruntoba express his delight at joining one of Nigeria’s most storied football institutions.

“This is a dream come true for me in my career. Rangers is a big club and I promise to be at my best to ensure we achieve our targets for the season,” said Oloruntoba.

He has signed a two-year deal and is expected to be officially unveiled alongside several other new acquisitions who have recently committed to the club.

With head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu at the helm, Rangers are steadily assembling a competitive squad capable of contending for silverware. The club has promised to unveil more “great talents” in the coming weeks, signaling a clear intent to return to the summit of Nigerian football.
