Regina Otu extends Saint Etienne’s stay

Nigerian international, Reina Otu has extended her contract with newly promoted French D1 Arkema side, Saint Etienne.

The former Rivers Angel star remain with the French club till the 2023-2024 season. Dominating in the Saint-Etienne midfield for her first season in France, Otu will seek to continue her professional experience next term.

The Nigerian international arrived in Forez last summer after two seasons with Belarusian side, FC Minsk.

She has effectively made herself essential within the team which were crowned Division 2 Champions convincing the club to extend her contract.

With 19 games last season, the native of Cross Rivers state will wear the Green jersey during the 2023/2024 season.

She spent two seasons with Minsk FK scoring seven goals in 32 league games. Otu had previously shone for 2020/2021 Nigeria Women Football League Premiership champions, Rivers Angels before moving to Minsk.

Despite left out of Nigeria’s squad this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup, the 26-year-old will be looking for a bright campaign in the French topflight D1 Arkema next season with Saint-Etienne.
