The head coach of Remo Stars Ladies, Wemimo Matthew has completed her CAF Instructor course in Rabat, Morocco.

The former Sunshine Queens coach completed the course which was confirmed by the club TX handle on Friday.

“Pleased to announce that Coach Wemimo Matthew, Our head coach at the club has now completed her CAF INSTRUCTOR Course in Rabat Morocco 🇲🇦.

“Congratulations Coach and welcome back to Nigeria 🇳🇬 ,” the club posted.

Wemimo joined the Ikenne Remo-based side ahead of the 2023/2024 league campaign after her stint with Edo Queens ended during the 2022 NWFL Premiership Super Six in Benin City.

One of the few women coaches with a CAF A coaching license will thinker her new side after adding to her coaching knowledge to her wealth of experience.

She played a pivotal role in nurturing Sunshine Queens of Akure as one of the strong teams in the top-flight women’s league in Nigeria and guided the team to the 2021 NWFL Premiership Super Six before joining Edo Queens.

The coach repeated the same feat by qualifying Edo Queens for the 2023 NWFL Premiership Super Six before her departure.

The former Nigerian international hopes to lift the Sky Blue Stars Ladies to any pedestal in the same vein as Theo men’s counterparts which has qualified for the continental football in the past two seasons.
