Remo Stars secure Samson Olasupo from Serbian side Radnicki Sr. Mirovica

By Wale Mustapha

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) leaders, Remo Stars, have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Nigerian striker, Samson Olasupo, from Serbian club Radnicki Sr. Mirovica.

Olasupo, 23, joins the Sky Blue Stars on a short-term deal until the end of the current NPFL season.

The  forward previously played for Katsina United in the NPFL before making the move abroad at the conclusion of last season.

His arrival is set to intensify competition in Remo Stars’ striking department, where he will vie for a starting spot alongside key forwards Alimi Sikiru and Franck Mawuena.

Currently atop the NPFL table with 42 points from 21 games, Remo Stars are in pursuit of their first-ever league title.

Daniel Ogunmodede’s side will look to extend their lead when they take on Sunshine Stars in a Matchday 22 clash on Sunday in Ikenne.
