Rinsola Babajide’s goal salvages point for Costa Adeje Tenerife against Badalona

Nigeria forward Rinsola Babajide scored an important goal to help Spanish Liga F women’s side, Costa Adeje Tenerife, to a 1-1 draw with Badalona on Sunday.
Monday Gift had two early chances to break the deadlock for the host in the first half but her header went wide.
She also forced the opponent’s goalkeeper to save before Costa Adeje Tenerife went behind in the 44th minute.
An individual and solo effort from captain and Argentine international Estefania Banini, who went past two opposing players before unleashing a strike inside the box to open the scoring.
Another individual effort from Babajide 10 minutes into the second half leveled the scoreline.
The Nigerian international also moved past Badalona defenders before firing an attempt into the net.
The goal increased her tally in the league to eight after 17 games. She has also provided three assists.
Her compatriot, Monday received a yellow card in the 57th minute and played the duration of the game alongside Babajide.
Their team occupy the seventh position with 31 points after 20 games.
They will next meet Levante UD on March 8, 2025.
