Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Rivers United has been drawn in CAF Confederation’s Cup Group C.

Nigeria’s sole representative on the continent were drawn alongside Tunisian, Ghanaian, and Angolan oppositions.

Stanley Eguma’s side will face Club Africain (Tunisia), Dreams FC (Ghana), and Academica do Lobito (Angola) in the group stage.

The Pride of Rivers defeated Etoile Filante of Burkina Faso 2-0 on aggregate in the second preliminary round to seal a place in the group stage.

Last season, the team reached the quarter-final and hopes to surpass that stage but will have to pass through the group stage.

Four Nigerian clubs started the 2023/2024 CAF inter-club continental race; Enyimba FC, Remo Stars, Rivers United, and Bendel Insurance.

The Sky Blue Stars (Remo Stars) and People’s Elephant (Enyimba) crashed out of the CAF Champions League at the first hurdle.

Bendel Insurance reached the second preliminary round before losing 3-2 on aggregate to RS Berkane of Morocco.
