The victory marked a significant milestone for the team, as the Pride of Rivers continues to assert its dominance in the Rivers State football scene.

Uche John scored the decisive spot kick after goalkeeper Osagie Onisodumeya had saved two spot kicks in the penalty shootout.

With Rivers United’s incessant triumph, a new trophy will be presented to the winner in next year’s competition.
