Rivers United to face Tanzanian side Young Africans in CAF Confederation Cup last 8

Nigeria’s sole representative, Rivers United have been drawn against Young Africans of Tanzania in the quarter-final of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup.
The Nigerian champions finished second in Group B and will play with Group D winners, Young African in the quarter-final after the draw took place on Wednesday in Cairo.
The Pride of Rivers finished second in Group B with 10 points, three points behind leaders, Asec Mimosa of Ivory Coast in the ongoing CAF Interclub competition.
Young African ended the group campaign with 13 points alongside US Monastir on superior goal difference.
The winner of the quarter-final clash between Rivers United and Young Africa will trade tackles with either Pyramids of Egypt or Marumo Gallants of South Africa.
In the other fixtures, US Monastastir will face Asec Mimosa as USMA Algier trade tackles with ASFAR FC of Morocco.
Nigerian clubs have not won the CAF Confederation Cup with Dolphins FC being the closest for the country after reaching the final.
Enyimba FC remained the last Nigeria side to win a continental title after clinching the CAF Champions League twice in 2003 and 2004.
