Robo Queens and Ikorodu City FC emerged champions in both the women’s and men categories of the 2023 Lagos Football Association Cup final at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan.
Robo Queens defended their crown as the Cup queen of Lagos as they defeated Dannaz Ladies 3-0 to win a record 13th title.
Folashade Ijamilusi opened the goal account for the Lagos Landladies with a brilliant finish in the first half.
Rukayat Shobowale doubled Robo Queens lead with an fine header before Esther Oyenezide netted the third goal for Robo Queens towards the tail end of the first half.
After the restart, Dannaz Ladies failed to punish the Robo Queens despite having a series of chances just as the Lagos Landladies could not add further from numerous opportunities in the closing stages.
Moments later, Ikorodu City FC banked on hero Ayomide Cole to defeat Smart City Feeders 2-0.
Influential forward, Cole was the side attraction of fans at the Stadium as he almost gave Ikorodu City FC the lead as early as the sixth minute but  his effort went inches wide.
Cole eventually found the back of the net to stir a wild celebration from the fans and spectators in the 46th minute.
Few chances for both teams as Ikorodu City FC couldn’t add to their tally and Smart City Feeders couldn’t grab a goal in the game in fulltime.
The Oga Boys became the champions of the Lagos FA Cup for the first time in their two years history as the club was rebirth and named Ikorodu City FC from Ikorodu City.
