After failing Nasarawa Amazons’ test, Amarachi Ndudim has set her sights on Abia Angels’ next Nigeria Women’s Football League Premiership match against Robo Queens; an encounter she said ‘won’t be easy’.
The Aba-based side had enjoyed a flying start to the current season, including a shock 1-0 win at Edo Queens but recently suffered a back-to-back defeat to the Solid Miners, after a 2-1 defeat at Enyimba Stadium last time out.
Ann Chiejine’s side will hope to bounce back from their home loss when they face the Lagos Landladies at Legacy Pitch, National Stadium, Lagos and Ndudim is confident her side can earn a double over Emmanuel Osahon’s side.
“Our next match against FC Robo Queens, we can get three points there because we got three points at home during the first leg match,” young sensation Ndudim told Nigeriafootball.ng.
“Going to Lagos won’t be an easy match for us but we would try our best. We can get three points there. We just have to put in  the work and hopefully get the three points.
“It was a bad one for my teammates and I. The first home game of the second stanza and we lost to Nasarawa Amazons was a painful one. It was really painful and heartbreaking that we lost our first home match of the second stanza but we keep working and pushing. We are not going to let that weigh us down and not giving up either.”
Despite the setback from Nasarawa double loss, the Aba ladies  boosted in confidence, having enjoyed a triumphant outing in the first leg of their meetings this season, following a 1-0 on November 30, 2022.
With their chances of clinching a Super Six post fading in Group B, Ndudim is expecting a difficult encounter against Robo Queens but still feels they can get a positive result in Surulere.
“It’s a tough one because every team in Group B is striving to make it to the top three so that they can go for the Super Six,” she continued.
“Group B is actually very tough and every team is up and doing. They are all fighting. No one wants to lose or drop any point. All the teams in the group are all warriors.” Amarachi concluded.
Nasarawa Amazons top the group with 13 points and superior goal difference ahead of Confluence Queens (13 points), Edo Queens (12 points), FC Robo Queens (10 points), Abia Angels (10 points), Adamawa Queens (9 points), and Ibom Angels (3 points).
