Roosa Ariyo’s brace seals second place and UEFA qualification for KuPS

Nigeria forward, Roosa Ariyo proved her heroics worth with two goals for KuPS as they defeated HPS 2-0 to wrap up the Finnish topflight season on a high note.
The Nigeria international scored the opening goal of the encounter in the seventh minute of play from Tao Stark’s assist at the JYA Housing Arena, Helsinki.
The Super Falcons player doubled the advantage for their team in the 53rd minute as Brazil’s Paulinha set her up to seal the win.
Finnish-born saw 72 minutes of action before being replaced by Lavdije Begolli.
Ariyo ended the season with eight goals and an assist after 12 games in league this season.
Her goals were pivotal in sealing second position on the log with 49 points, 13 points behind champions, HJK.
The second place finish also sealed qualification for the UEFA second club competition which will get underway in the 2025/2026 season.
Ariyo returned to Finland to play for KuPS after stints with Costa Adeje Tenerife and Club Brugge finding her goal scoring boots with the Finnish vice champions.
