Rudi Garcia backs Victor Osimhen’s decision to wipe Napoli off his Instagram

Napoli head coach Rudi Garcia has defended Victor Osimhen’s action to delete all Napoli’s pictures and videos from his Instagram account.

Nigeria Football had earlier reported that the Nigerian was trolled via a video posted on the official Napoli’s TikTok account which is now-deleted, the Partenopei trolls Osimhen for missing a penalty against Bologna on Sunday as the game ended goalless.

In response, the 24-year-old then deleted all content of him related to Napoli from his Instagram page after his agent, Roberto Calenda considered taking legal action against the club for online bullying.

However, Garcia believes both parties mean no harm as the action was based on instinctive reactions which is understandable.

“Over the last two days, there was a bit of trouble with some clumsy behavior,” he told Football Italia.

“Nobody wanted to be hurtful, not the TikTok with the video of Victor, nor Victor by taking his photographs down on social media.

“Nobody intended to hurt anyone, these are instinctive reactions and are understandable.”
