Rumour Mills: Ademola Lookman set to join PSG

By Monsurah Olatunji

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has reportedly reached a salary agreement with Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, as the player seems poised for a transfer from Atalanta.

Lookman was notably absent from Atalanta’s squad for their Serie A opener against US Lecce, with rumors suggesting he requested to be excluded from the match due to the ongoing transfer speculation.

PSG, under Luis Enrique, is keen to bolster their attacking options following the departure of Kylian Mbappe and Goncalo Ramos’ injury, which has intensified their search for a quality forward. Lookman, who had an impressive season with Atalanta, is seen as a fitting candidate to fill this gap.

Reports indicate that PSG has offered Lookman a lucrative contract worth €4.5 million per season, a significant increase from his current €1.8 million salary at Atalanta.

Lookman is reportedly enthusiastic about the move to the French capital, provided PSG and Atalanta can finalize the transfer details.

In addition to PSG’s interest, Lookman has also attracted attention from Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli, who are looking to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

This growing interest highlights Lookman’s rising profile and the competitive nature of the transfer market for such talented players.
