Rumour Mills: Atalanta offers Ademola Lookman to Arsenal as Inter Milan move stalls

By Wale Mustapha

Nigeria international Ademola Lookman has reportedly been offered to Arsenal, as his proposed move to Inter Milan faces significant setbacks.

According to Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira, intermediaries acting on behalf of Atalanta have approached the Gunners over a potential summer deal for the winger.

Lookman, who has expressed a desire to leave Atalanta, remains keen on a move to Inter Milan, but negotiations have stalled after the Nerazzurri had multiple bids rejected by the Bergamo-based club.

Atalanta are reportedly reluctant to sell to a domestic rival, which has prompted the player’s camp to explore Premier League options — with Arsenal emerging as a possible destination.

Despite the offer, Arsenal are currently prioritising Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze as their main attacking target. Sources suggest that no formal offer has been made by the North London club for Lookman at this stage.

Lookman, 26, has just one year remaining on his contract with Atalanta, who won the UEFA Europa League last season.

The former Fulham and RB Leipzig winger is said to have already agreed personal terms with Inter Milan and is still hopeful a deal can be revived before the close of the transfer window.

With the clock ticking, the coming weeks will determine whether Lookman’s next move lies in North London, Milan, or elsewhere in Europe.
