Everton have reignited their interest in Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi following the Foxes’ relegation to the Championship, with the Nigerian international reportedly available for £9 million due to a release clause in his contract.
Ndidi, who signed a three-year extension with Leicester in July 2024 after their return to the Premier League, is now being targeted by several European clubs.
However, Everton are seen as frontrunners, with manager David Moyes eager to strengthen his midfield options ahead of the 2025–26 season.
According to reports from GMS, Ndidi is open to a move that would keep him in the Premier League, although no formal offers have been confirmed. Sources suggest a deal could progress in the coming days.
The 27-year-old made 30 appearances for Leicester in the 2024–25 campaign, contributing one goal and five assists.
Known for his ball-winning ability and often compared to N’Golo Kanté, Ndidi remained a consistent performer despite Leicester’s struggles.
His departure would mark another high-profile exit from the King Power Stadium, as the club faces the financial and sporting repercussions of dropping to the second tier.
