Rumour Mills: Lookman nears Inter Milan move as Atalanta hold out for €50m

By Dayo Awoniyi

Ademola Lookman’s transfer saga has entered a crucial phase, with Inter Milan preparing to raise their offer to €48 million as Atalanta continue to hold firm on their €50 million valuation for the Nigerian winger.

Inter initially tabled a €42 million bid plus €3 million in bonuses, but the Bergamo-based club rejected the proposal twice, maintaining their asking price for the 26-year-old forward.

Lookman, currently sidelined with a mild calf injury and training separately in Atalanta’s Zigonia base, has expressed frustration over the stalled move. The winger recently took to social media to voice his dissatisfaction, hinting that a promised transfer last summer was postponed following the club’s decision to sell Teun Koopmeiners instead.

Adding to speculation over his future, Lookman has removed all references to Atalanta from his social media profiles, signaling his eagerness to complete a switch to Inter Milan.

Insiders reveal that the player has already reached a verbal agreement with Inter on a five-year contract reportedly worth €4 million per year.

With the player pushing for the move and Inter closing in on Atalanta’s valuation, attention now turns to whether the Serie A club will finally approve the transfer.
