Rumour Mills: Napoli legal officer opens up on top clubs interested in Victor Osimhen

Napoli legal officer, Mattia Grassani has revealed the clubs interested in Osimhen’s signature during the transfer window.

Osimhen became the toast of major clubs in Europe when he led the Partenopei to the Scudetto title and won the highest goal scorer award.

Amid growing interests in the wantaway Nigerian star, Grassani revealed Napoli and Osimhen are at advanced talks over the elongation of his present contract at the club despite Arsenal sporting director Edu Gaspar already had a talk with Osimhen’s representatives but no concrete offer was tabled.

“I wrote Osimhen’s contract a long time ago. Renewal? There are advanced negotiations,” Osimhen was quoted by BSN Sports.

“We are informed that Arsenal sporting director, Edu Gaspar, contacted the owner of the Serie A club, Aurelio De Laurentiis, to ask about the availability of the player, having met with the 24-year-old’s agent, Roberto Calenda.”

Napoli have played three matches in the Serie A this season, won two and lost one at home to Lazio.
