Rumour Mills: Napoli set to sell Osimhen in summer transfer window, Confirms Sports Director

By Dayo Awoniyi

Napoli is preparing to offload Victor Osimhen during the upcoming summer transfer window, according to the club’s sports director, Giovanni Manna.

The decision to sell the Nigerian striker comes as part of the club’s efforts to avoid the controversy that surrounded Osimhen’s situation last summer, Manna revealed.

“Victor will always be a hot topic of debate, and not just in the transfer market,” Manna told Sky Sports Italia.

“He is an attractive player for many clubs, and his release clause is well known.

“We are working to find a solution as soon as possible to prevent a repeat of what happened last time.”

Osimhen’s release clause is set at around €75 million, and his contract with Napoli runs until June 2026.

The Nigerian has been in excellent form, scoring 20 goals and providing five assists in 26 appearances on loan at Galatasaray this season.

Top clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, PSG, Juventus, and various Saudi Arabian teams have all shown interest in acquiring Osimhen.
