Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal, despite the club agreeing to meet his €75 million release clause.

According to Football Italia, Al Hilal had planned to complete the deal in three installments following a push from their new head coach, Simone Inzaghi, who requested an additional €6–7 million to close the agreement after an initial bid was rejected.

However, the deal has stalled, with Osimhen refusing to give his approval for the move.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development, stating: “Victor Osimhen has turned down a proposal from Al Hilal despite an agreement between the Saudi club and Napoli to pay his €75 million release clause.”

The clause, which is only applicable to clubs outside Serie A during the current transfer window, had made Al Hilal clear frontrunners.

But Osimhen, 26, remains firm in his desire to stay in Europe and compete at the highest level.

With the Saudi option now off the table, Turkish champions Galatasaray are expected to intensify efforts to sign the Nigerian forward.

Osimhen’s future remains a key talking point this summer, as several European clubs consider a move for the prolific striker.
