Rumour: Ola Aina considers Galatasaray interest thanks to Osimhen’s influence

By Monsurah Olatunji

Turkish journalist Mehmet Özcan has revealed that Ola Aina is contemplating a move to Galatasaray after seeking advice from his fellow Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen.

Aina’s contract with Nottingham Forest is set to expire at the end of the season, and with no discussions regarding an extension, rumors are swirling about his potential departure from the Premier League club.

The in-form defender has been a key player for Forest this season, contributing both defensively and offensively as they aim for a top-four finish. With 20 league appearances and two goals to his name, Aina’s performances have caught the attention of several top clubs, including Manchester City.

However, the latest buzz suggests a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray, with Osimhen playing a pivotal role in Aina’s decision-making process. According to Özcan, speaking to Sabah via Habersarikirmizi, Aina has consulted Osimhen about the prospect of joining Galatasaray and is reportedly encouraged by the potential move.

“He received information from Osimhen about Galatasaray; the conditions will be difficult, but he is positive about wearing the Galatasaray jersey,” Özcan stated.

Should Aina fail to sign a new deal with Nottingham Forest or make a move this January, he will become a free agent in the summer, free to join any club of his choosing.

With Galatasaray showing interest, Aina could be on the verge of a new chapter in his career, potentially following in the footsteps of Osimhen and making his mark in Turkish football.
