Rumours: Kelechi Iheanacho set to join big money League in Saudi

Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho has been tipped for a mega-money move to Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Pro League clubs have been on a hot chase for big professional football players to make their league emerge as one of the best leagues in the future to come.
Several players from the Premier League in the last few months, including Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, Edouard Mendy, and Kalidou Koulibaly, as well as Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino, have moved to the Saudi Pro League, and Iheanacho could be the latest to join them.
The Nigeria international who suffered relegation with the Foxes in the 2022/23 season could be spared from playing in England’s lower division after reportedly attracting interest from the side.
Despite falling out of favor in Brendan Rodgers’ starting line-up, the Nigerian star has emerged as one of the team’s standout performers, playing a crucial role in their fight for Premier League survival with five goals and five assists.
According to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, the 26-year-old Nigerian is high on the list of players desired by the Saudi Arabian League and could be set for a potential departure from the King Power Stadium.
The Super Eagles forward is believed to be weighing his options over a move and could be tempted by an offer to join other greats like Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema in the Gulf nation.
Meanwhile, there is also speculation suggesting that Iheanacho is being targeted for a move to join fellow countrymen Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis at Nottingham Forest.
Everton and Besiktas JK have also reportedly entered the race to secure the signature of the Nigerian star. Although Iheanacho has yet to comment on the transfer or his club, as Plettenberg reported.
But, the Nigerian was seen training at Leicester training ground after returning from his international duty with the Super Eagles where he scored the winning goal that secured Nigeria’s qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
