Samson Omiponle: Former Warri Wolves coach cries out over unpaid allowances

Former coach of Warri Wolves, Samson Omiponle is crying foul that the club is still owing him.
The Nigeria National League (NNL) side narrowly missed out on promotion to top flight Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) last season under his tutelage and he is now demanding for his entitlements.
“I didn’t even sign any contract with Warri Wolves. When I got there, I and my assistant approached the management to get us a contract but they refused to give us any contract,” Omiponle told Brila FM.
“Due to the likeness of the job, we continued. Presently, the club is owing us some months’ salary and nine match bonuses.”
Warri Wolves with 40 points after 24 games needed last season in the third position in NNL Group B2 behind Bayelsa United (44 points) and Crown FC (42 points).
Following his exit, Jolomi Atune has since been appointed as the team’s new coach ahead of next season, with the new coach promising to bring the club back to its Glory days in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Warri Wolves were relegated to second-tier NNL from top-flight NPFL at the end of the 2020/2021 season, having had 41 points after 38 games which was not enough to beat the relegation drop.
