Saudi Arabia vs Nigeria: Top Super Eagles players to watch against the Falcons

Nigeria will take on Saudi Arabia in an international friendly at the Estádio Municipal de Portimão in Portugal on Friday.
The match will serve as a warm-up game for their upcoming 2026 AFCON qualifier against Lesotho in November and also for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in January next year.
Coach Jose Peseiro invited a 25-man squad for the game, with only Hatayspor forward Fisayo Dele-Bashiru as the only new player.
Peseiro is expected to field the best players for the friendly match against Saudi Arabia, who were the last team that defeated World Cup champions Argentina. Nigeria Football lists top five players to watch out for in the clash.
• Victor Osimhen: Napoli star boy should keep his place in the starting lineup as he continued his goal-scoring form from last season.
The 24-year-old is currently the leading top scorer of the AFCON qualifiers with 10 goals and he is now the fourth-highest goal scorer in Nigeria’s history behind the likes of Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Segun Odegbami.
• Wilfred Ndidi: The Leicester City midfielder who has had a superb season, will keep his place in defensive midfield.
The 26-year-old was recently named the Skybet Player of the Month for September after registering three assists and scoring a goal in the EFL Championship.
• Victor Boniface: The Bayer Leverkusen attacker is recently ranked joint second-best striker in Europe by statistics website, Whoscored.
The 22-year-old has scored seven goals and assisted two for Bayer Leverkusen since his move from Union SG and is expected to start against the Falcons.
• Chidozie Awaziem: The Boavista defender received a late invite to replace injured Jamilu Collins.
