Super Eagles defender Shehu Abdullahi expressed his elation as his club, Anorthosis, reclaimed the top position in the Cypriot league table with a remarkable 1-0 away victory against Apoel Nicosia, UEFA Champions League contenders for the 2017/2018 season. The pivotal game was marked by a crucial goal by Joao Victor in the 30th minute, ultimately securing the triumph for Anorthosis.
The contest also witnessed a turning point when, in the 90th minute, Apoel Nicosia’s Roberto Lago received a red card, reducing the home team to 10 men.

“Important away win. The season target still in view, back to the top of the table. Thanks, Anorthosis fans!” Abdullahi shared on his Twitter handle on Tuesday.
Anorthosis currently occupies the top spot in the 14-team league table, accumulating 10 points.
