Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) is set to sign new players to beef up the squad ahead of season resumption.
The Ibadan-based side has struggled for form this season in the abridged league with two wins out of nine games.
Oluyole Warriors’s woes were compounded on Sunday with a 2-2 draw against Akwa United at Lekan Salami Stadium and Gbenga Ogunbote says the club will sign new players ahead of the second half of the campaign.
“We will make some additions to the team ahead of the start of the second round,” Ogunbote told reporters.
“Some of our players are suffering from lack of confidence but that is not an excuse; injuries, too, have not been fair to us, but we will work around it,” he stated.
Shooting Stars seats in the seventh position in Group B of 2022/2023 NPFL log with 10 points after nine games.
The league is on mid season break till the end of the general elections. The Ibadan-based outfit narrowly escaped relegation last season by whiskers and they will hope to beat the drop once again at the end of the campaign.
