Sikiru Alimi: Nigeria striker rejoins Remo Stars for new NPFL season

Experienced Nigerian striker, Sikiru Alimi will be playing for Remo Stars in the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League, (NPFL) season, nigeriafootball.ng can confirm.

Alimi who was on the card of Shooting Stars in the last abridged season is on his second stint with the Ikenne based side playing for them in the latter stage of 2021/2022 NPFL season.

He is expected to add more firepower to Remo Stars’ attack as the Sky Blue Stars aiming to go a step better than last season.

The boys of Coach Daniel Ogunmodede finished second in the regular abridged season and eventually ended same position after the playoffs.

Remo Stars announced Alimi’s return through their official Twitter page on Friday.

“We can confirm that striker, Sikiru Alimi has rejoined the club ahead of the 2023/24 league season,” reads the tweet.

The striker who has previously played for notable NPFL clubs including Sunshine Stars, Lobi Stars has also had brief stints in Morocco and Tunisian league.
